Bathrooms

They have just started on the bathrooms.  The walls will be 4" while tile as you see below.  The floor will be a nice marbled tile that is similar in color to what you see in the below shower picture.

This is the second floor "old side" bathroom looking in through the door way.  To the left in the shadow of the picture will be two toilets, I believe sinks will be directly in front.

This is the second floor "old side" bathroom looking at the showers.  The doorways is just to the left of this pictures and the toilets will be on the far right.

This is a more complete picture of how the shower will look.  The plastic stall separators found in public bathrooms will be dividing the showers.

Upstairs

The upstairs is looking great and the rooms will feel spacious and new.  The four man rooms are large and I believe will be comfortable with 4 guys.  The hallways are wider in some areas as described below.  The door frames are METAL and will have solid wood doors hung.  The hallway walls are made of a highly durable reinforced sheetrock material.  It was described that if you successfully broke through the wall with your hand you would need to go to the hospital.  But, lets not try that out guys, okay?

I firmly believe everyone will be pleased with the hallways and layout of our new upstairs.  This picture was taken in the "new side" hallway at the corner where Ornell and Wales lived.  For perspective, as I stood by the fan in this picture I extended my arms at the widest part of this hallway.  It is a foot or two wider than my arm span.

This is the second floor landing.  Closets and HVAC closets have been removed or reduced in size opening the landings up quite a bit.  The seating area has been removed and a new built in cabinet added.  It is planned to have shelving in the cabinet pictured, but I do not know if there will be wood doors or if it will be another glass trophy cabinet.

This is another picture of the hallways.  This was taken from the doorway of room 8 on the second floor.  this is the new hallway behind the stairs.  This is looking down the new side and a door to the stairs is on the left.

I know that everyone is going to like this.  Every room will have its own thermostat and this Heat and air unit on the wall.  This is not your normal "window unit," but it is a real AC and heater.  If you know how HVAC units work they require condenser lines to cool the air.  The condensers are outside of the house and copper condenser lines ran to every room.  Last I had heard this HVAC model had the ability to be controlled with your smartphone through the WiFi in the house.  We will see if that is in fact what they installed.

Downstairs/Living Room

This is the living room, the large wood structure you see is our new trophy cabinet!  To help orient you, the dining room is on the other side of the wall that the trophy cabinet is on.  The Grant Draper plaque was on the far right of the wall where the trophy cabinet is.  The large opening in the right of the picture is new and is the opening to the foyer.  There will be a door to the basket ball court right through that opening and the kitchen is to the left.

This is the new woodwork around the window at the front of the house.  You can see the stairs through the archway.  This picture was taken in the dining room.  This opening is the only entrance to the kitchen other than the foyer.  The identical opening to the left of this one has been closed and stairs removed.

This is a picture of the presidents room door and the ladies bathroom on the first floor.  Mom's room is on the left (not pictured), the presidents rooms is directly in front and the ladies bathroom is on the right.

Kitchen/Dining Room

This is the dining room facing the kitchen.  The two doors that you see will be the in/out of the serving area.  The large opening on the right is the new foyer that connects the dining room to the living room.

This is from inside the serving area.  The opening on the left is to the kitchen and the two doors are on the right.  Last I had heard the drink and ice machine will be behind from where the picture was taken.
